H & H Perfectim Impression System
Hydraulic & Hydrophobic

Continued

Hydraulic & Hydrophobic Impression Technique

Immediately following a crown preparation, a primary impression is taken with either 30 Second, 90 Second, or Universal Blue Velvet. Then either 30 Second or 90 Second Flexi-Velvet is injected into the impression of the prepped tooth. The FLEXI-VELVET material is hydraulically moved into the sulcus, displacing the gingival tissue and oral fluids. Since the FLEXI-VELVET is hydrophobic, it does not absorb moisture, and sets without distortion. These two occurrences are described as hydraulic and hydrophobic, or the H&H technique, which make it possible to achieve accurate impressions without the use of retraction cord. This technique was developed to improve patient comfort while obtaining accurate results in an efficient manner.
